Life is fleeting.
Nothing stays the same.
And every new phase feels like the end of an era.
It’s a simple truth we all understand, yet it hits differently when the changes start happening to the people closest to us.
You watch your friends as they move into new chapters of their lives—getting married, having babies, moving to a different place, starting a new job, or even entering new relationships.
You’re genuinely happy for them, proud even.
But then, there’s that quiet realization: once those changes happen, the bond you’ve shared will never quite be the same.
It’s a bittersweet pill to swallow.
It’s not about losing them entirely. But the dynamics shift, the moments that used to come so easily, even the role you play in their lives slowly fade away.
And while you know this is just part of growing up, it still saddens you.
It’s that feeling of watching the end of an era unfold right in front of you.
Life is fleeting.
Nothing is constant.
And as each phase comes and goes, we learn to accept that it's truly just the way of life.
Yet, we can’t help but hold on to how things once was.
